PLICO uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate website usage.
Analytics storage is disabled by default in the current implementation
and is enabled only after you choose ACCEPT in the cookie banner.
Google Analytics may use identifiers and cookies to distinguish browsers
and measure interactions. Google states that GA4 uses IP addresses at
collection time for functions such as approximate location and then
discards raw IP addresses before they are logged.
Advertising storage, ad-user-data storage and ad-personalisation storage
are disabled in PLICO's current consent configuration.

If you subscribe to the PLICO newsletter, your email address and
subscription information are submitted to Buttondown, the service PLICO
currently uses to manage its mailing list and send newsletters.
Your email is used for PLICO communications only in accordance with your
subscription choice. You may unsubscribe using the unsubscribe function
provided in newsletter emails or by contacting PLICO.

When you purchase a PLICO publication, the information necessary to
process and fulfil the order may include your name, email address,
billing and shipping information, products purchased and transaction information.
PLICO uses Cargo's commerce functionality for the website. Payment
information is handled through the payment processor made available at
checkout; PLICO does not need to receive full payment-card details in
order to fulfil an order.
Order data may also be retained where necessary for fulfilment,
customer service, accounting, tax, fraud-prevention or other legal obligations.

— order and transaction records are retained for as long as needed for
fulfilment and applicable accounting, tax and legal obligations;

configured for PLICO's Google Analytics property;
— correspondence is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to
respond to the request and maintain appropriate records.

Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing that was lawful before
the withdrawal.
